Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Musculoskeletal or Sports Physiotherapy aims to treat, manage and prevent acute and chronic injuries and help you take control of your symptoms
Massage Therapy
Using hands-on massage techniques, tailored to your preferences, to help you achieve your goals. An excellent compliment to physiotherapy sessions.
Neurological Physiotherapy
All our neurological physiotherapists are experts in the rehabilitation and management of neurological conditions such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barre Syndrome plus many more. Neurological Physiotherapists look at you holistically from top to toe, assessing how your condition affects your ability to move efficiently and effectively. They consider how all the elements of sensation, power, joints and central nervous system input and output co-ordinate together.
Vestibular Rehabilitation
Dizzyness and imbalance can be extremely debilitating. Ordinarily, our bodies would use its senses in such a co-ordinated way that we take for granted the ability to do tasks and remain steady on our feet. Vestibular problems which lead to balance issues or dizzyness can severely disrupt this.
Specialist assessments are used to diagnosis the cause of your symptoms and the impact it is having on your life. A bespoke programme is then recommended and carried out by a specialist physiotherapist in Vestibular Rehabilitation. Techniques are used that either retrain your brain to co-ordinate your senses more effectively, or to teach you how to use strategies that reduce the impact of your symptoms
Specialist Groups
We run specialist groups for many different types of physical rehabilitation. Groups are a great way to increase the overall amount of activity in your life and stay motivated by joining in with others. We run classes focused on: Staying Steady (balance), Staying Strong (STIC Group), Parkinson's Specific Exercise, Love to Move (Dementia specific), Stroke Exercises and Arm &Hand Activity Groups for Neurological Conditions. All groups require a 1:1 screening assessment prior to attendance to ensure the session is suitable for you. Please speak to one of the team to find out more.
Functional Fitness MOT
A Functional Fitness MOT is an activity and well being check. Recommended for those aged 50-95+. Your practitioner will check your balance, strength, flexibility and exercise tolerance. They will then recommend activities that you may benefit from to help you to stay active, strong and independent.
Rehabilitation & Technology
We may recommend the use of rehabilitation technology to support your programme. Sessions are available to trial these products and see if they are suitable for you and your rehab needs.
